★ Flagship case · Account reinstatement

Own brand blocked – and nobody says why.

An FBA brand suddenly could no longer claim its own officially registered trademark. Account clean, everything “Healthy” – and still blocked. The real cause was somewhere else entirely, hidden for more than 2.5 years.

Reinstated after 5 business days – after a root cause hidden for 2.5 years

1The starting point

  • Main account rated “Healthy” for more than 2 years
  • 0 IP complaints, 0 trademark violations, ODR 0.14%
  • Own registered trademark could no longer be claimed
  • Error message “account eligibility / abusive conduct” – without any explanation

2The diagnosis

  • The problem had nothing to do with Brand Registry at all
  • The real cause was on a different EU marketplace
  • That marketplace had been deactivated for more than 2.5 years – suspected multiple accounts
  • The linked account dated back to the previous management

3Our approach

  • Cleanly prepared the notarised change of ownership
  • Combined the legal groundwork with technical data points
  • Parallel escalation to force a genuine manual review
  • Supported the video identity verification with the managing director

4The learnings

  • Symptom ≠ cause – if you only fight the symptom, you get nowhere
  • Amazon's bot loop can be broken – with patience and method
  • Solid legal groundwork and technical evidence have to come together

Legally clear, system blocked: our facts against Amazon's standard bot replies.
Amazon confirmation: account reinstated
The breakthrough: Amazon confirms in writing that the marketplace has been reinstated.
Compliance · Dietary supplements

Blocked supplement reinstated – over €12,000 in revenue secured

Starting point

A dietary supplement was blocked for a “violation of the restricted products policy”. For food and supplements, unapproved nutrition and health claims are not permitted on Amazon.de – the product detail page was blocked and more than €12,000 in revenue was at stake.

Our approach
  • Reviewed the listing against health-claims and food/GPSR requirements
  • Cleaned up the flagged nutrition & health claims in a compliant way
  • Submitted the reinstatement of the product detail page in a targeted way and followed it up
Product detail page reinstated within 2 business days – revenue secured.
Amazon Account Health – restricted products policy violation
Account Health: “Violation of the restricted products policy” – a supplement with non-permitted health claims, five-figure revenue at risk.
Amazon – reinstatement of the product detail page started
Amazon confirms in writing: the reinstatement of the product detail page has been started – solved within 2 business days.
Account Health · Brand abuse

Blocked ASIN reinstated in under 24 h after a brand abuse allegation

Premium sportswear listing – complete supply chain and brand evidence escalated in a targeted way.

Starting point

A listing was fully deactivated because of a brand abuse allegation (intellectual property) – no sales possible. Seller Support's standard replies (“update price and inventory”) missed the actual problem: the ASIN stayed blocked despite correct inventory updates. To make matters worse, all authorisation and supply chain documents had already been submitted – and partly accepted – but Amazon's automated handling didn't recognise them and just kept repeating canned responses.

Our approach
  • Bundled the complete chain of evidence: EUIPO trademark registration, authorisation documents from the authorised distributor and a seamless supply chain record from the brand owner to the retailer
  • Targeted escalation with an explicit request for manual review instead of automated handling
  • Precise, factual case wording aimed directly at the specific IP allegation – instead of a generic objection
  • Persistent follow-up against Amazon's copy-paste standard replies
Amazon completed the review and restored the offer – the ASIN was active again in under 24 hours, confirmed in writing by Amazon Seller Support.

Brand Registry · Premium features

Trademark registered – and still everything blocked.

DPMA trademark registered, Brand Registry clean, main account rated “Healthy” for more than two years – and still A+ Content, Sponsored Brands and the Brand Store stayed blocked. Seven Brand Registry cases, the same canned response seven times.

Premium brand features unlocked again – solved at account level, not brand level

1The starting point

  • Main Amazon.de account rated “Healthy” for more than 2 years
  • DPMA trademark registered, Brand Registry complete
  • A+ Content, Sponsored Brands & Brand Store still blocked
  • Brand representative invitation: “account eligibility / abusive conduct”

2The diagnosis

  • Seven Brand Registry cases – the same canned response seven times
  • The problem had nothing to do with Brand Registry at all
  • Real cause: a different EU marketplace, never actively sold on
  • It had been deactivated for years – multiple-account suspension

3Our approach

  • Checked the account status on all 10 EU marketplaces individually
  • Tackled the root cause instead of arguing with Brand Registry support
  • Cleanly resolved a legacy issue from the previous management
  • Escalated in a targeted way to a genuine manual review

4The learnings

  • Brand problems are almost always account problems
  • Brand access is decided at account level, not brand level
  • One blocked EU marketplace blocks all premium features
Amazon brand representative invitation rejected – account eligibility / abusive conduct
When accepting the brand representative invitation: “account eligibility reasons / abusive conduct” – without any explanation. Brand and account data anonymised.
Brand update & review transfer · UK → DE

“Amazon said NO” – and we pushed it through anyway.

Brand name update across all ASINs plus transfer of the UK reviews to the German marketplace. Amazon initially refused – citing the brand name policy.

Starting point

The client wanted to update the brand name across all ASINs and transfer the UK reviews to the DE marketplace. Amazon initially refused – supposedly an impermissible brand name change on existing ASINs.

Our approach
  • Chose the correct case type
  • Escalated via Brand Registry
  • Followed up persistently & in a structured way
  • Provided clear proof of brand ownership
New brand name live · UK reviews transferred to DE · more visibility & trust.

Amazon email: EPR/WEEE complaint accepted
EPR / WEEE compliance

WEEE obligation challenged – complaint accepted by Amazon

Starting point

Amazon classified offers as subject to WEEE (“In scope? Yes”) and demanded EPR evidence for electrical and electronic equipment. In this specific case the classification was disputed – without clarification, EPR compliance blocks up to and including offer deactivation were looming.

Our approach
  • Carefully reviewed the EPR/WEEE classification of the affected products
  • Filed a structured, well-reasoned complaint in the EPR Compliance Portal
  • Documented the case and followed it through to a decision
Complaint accepted by Amazon – the change takes effect within 48 h, offers remain sellable.

Amazon email: product review violating policy removed
Review management · Add-on service

Product review violating policy removed

Starting point

A product review violated Amazon's Community Guidelines and dragged down the ASIN's rating – without the normal route via support leading to its removal.

Our approach
  • Checked the review sentence by sentence against Amazon's Community Guidelines
  • Submitted via the correct reporting route with a documented, rules-based justification
  • Followed the case up until Amazon made a manual decision
Amazon confirmed the removal in writing – the review was removed from the listing.
We can confirm that the customer review in question has been removed from the website.
Amazon brand approval – approved
Brand Approval

Brand approval secured in 24 hours

Starting point

All documents had been submitted correctly – yet every attempt was rejected. The brand stayed blocked and profitable listings couldn't be unlocked.

Our approach
  • Professionally reviewed supplier & brand documents
  • Prepared the documents cleanly and in line with policy
  • Brought the application to manual review in a targeted way
Brand approval granted within 24 hours.
Thank you so much for your help. We're really delighted!
Listing suppression

4 suppressed listings reinstated in 48 hours

Starting point

Four ASINs were suppressed at the same time. The product wasn't the problem – the process was: the complaints hadn't been set up in line with Amazon's policies.

Our approach
  • Analysed the cause cleanly for each ASIN
  • Wrote a policy-compliant complaint
  • Started & documented the reinstatement process in a targeted way
All 4 listings reinstated within 48 hours.
Just saw it, thanks so much for your help!

Seller Central compliance – before/after
Compliance

Compliance issues cleared down to 0

Starting point

Complaints, product condition notices, safety warnings and GPSR issues had been piling up unnoticed. Amazon doesn't clear open issues automatically – the risk was growing quietly.

Our approach
  • Full compliance audit across all categories
  • Worked through every open item individually
  • Structured clean-up instead of knee-jerk actions
From double-digit open cases down to 0 – a clean case history.
EAN / Catalogue

Correct EAN – and still blocked

Starting point

EAN correct, brand registered, listing clean – and still nothing worked. Amazon's system simply hadn't recognised the EAN correctly at ASIN level.

Our approach
  • Identified the source of the error at catalogue level
  • Switched to the manufacturer barcode
  • Pushed it through with the responsible team in a targeted way
Listing sellable again – business no longer blocked.
Nice, you really are the best!

ASIN reinstatement

Appeal rejected – it was the structure

Starting point

The ASIN was blocked and the appeal rejected – not because of the product, but because of how the shelf life was presented. A structured shelf-life value was missing.

Our approach
  • Shelf life stated correctly in days (not just the expiry date)
  • Root cause worded precisely and in line with the platform
  • Attached evidence & preventive measures in concrete terms
ASIN reinstated – Amazon responds to structure, not emotions.
Misclassification

Sweets classified as a “children's toy”

Starting point

A sweets gift box was wrongly classified by Amazon as a children's toy. The listing was blocked, while several compliance errors piled up at the same time.

Our approach
  • Analysed the listing & product data – clearly proved it's a food product
  • Direct escalation to the responsible Amazon department
  • Category corrected, all compliance error messages cleared
Category corrected, ASIN unblocked again.
A sweets gift box was wrongly classified by Amazon as a children's toy. After our analysis and direct escalation to the responsible Amazon departments, it was confirmed that it is clearly a food product. The category was corrected, all error messages were removed and the ASIN was unblocked again shortly afterwards.

Amazon catalogue – error 8541
Catalogue error · 8541

Error 8541: Amazon catalogue conflict resolved

Starting point

When uploading new products, error 8541 appears – a conflict with frozen attributes, usually title, colour or country of origin. The listing can't be created cleanly.

Our approach
  • Accepted the value suggested by Amazon for the time being
  • Opened a targeted support case for the desired change
  • Pushed through title / colour manually and cleanly
A fast, clean route to the correct listing display – without endless back and forth.
Listing image

Image update not showing on Amazon

Starting point

The image had long been changed in Seller Central – but after 48 hours Amazon was still showing the old photo. Buyers saw an outdated version of the product.

Our approach
  • Used the Image Upload Manager instead of the inventory upload
  • Opened a support case with the new image where needed
  • Requested a manual override of the old image
Current image live – correct display for your buyers.
I waited weeks for answers from Amazon support – SellerVate solved the problem in 48 hours. Our listing has been running without any issues ever since.

Buy Box

No Buy Box – despite a fair price

Starting point

The offer initially didn't win the Buy Box, even though price and seller metrics were fine. Without the Buy Box, revenue practically disappears completely.

Our approach
  • Reviewed offer, price & seller data in detail
  • Persistent, fact-based escalation to Amazon support
  • Documented and secured Buy Box eligibility with evidence
Offer confirmed as Buy Box eligible again.
The product initially didn't get a Buy Box allocation. After intensive and persistent communication with Amazon support and a close review of the offer and seller data, the offer was unlocked. Amazon then confirmed the offer as Buy Box eligible again.

Brand update

Old brand stayed visible on the frontend

Starting point

After a brand change, the product detail page kept showing the old brand. Everything was stored correctly in the system – but not on the frontend.

Our approach
  • Fully checked brand data & ASIN mapping
  • Coordinated the update directly with Amazon support
  • Triggered and monitored the update in the system
Brand updated in the system – the frontend followed.
After a brand change, a product kept showing the old brand on the frontend. After coordinating with Amazon support, the brand was successfully updated in the system. A few days later the change was visible on the product detail page.

Indexing

Product disappeared from search results

Starting point

Despite an active offer, a product no longer appeared in Amazon search results – invisible to buyers, no organic traffic.

Our approach
  • Technical analysis of indexing & search visibility
  • Repeated, targeted coordination with Amazon support
  • Triggered & monitored the necessary system updates
Product back in the search results as normal.
A product didn't appear in Amazon search results despite an active offer. After technical analysis and repeated coordination with Amazon support, the necessary updates were made in the system. Once the indexing phase was complete, the product appeared properly in the search results again.

That's just a snapshot. Across more than 5,000 solved cases there's already a proven solution for almost every Amazon problem – just ask us about yours.

The pattern behind it

What all these cases have in common

Standard support had run out of answers

Canned responses, tickets going in circles – in the end, the problem was still there.

Structure beats frustration

Amazon responds to clean data and clear facts – not to chasing.

Documented until solved

Every step traceable – no flying blind, no guessing game.

Why it fails so often

Normal support goes in circles.

Copy-paste answers, bot loops, cases that close each other. That's exactly where we come in – with method instead of yet another “new case”.
